Business classes consist of three categories: 

1.     Self-Employed Persons

2.     Start-Up Visa

Canada’s business immigration programs aim to promote economic development and employment by attracting investors, entrepreneurs and the self-employed from outside Canada with venture capital, business and entrepreneurial skills.

Canada’s business immigration programs also aim to develop new trade opportunities and improve access to growing foreign markets by welcoming people who know these markets and their specific requirements and habits. Individuals with business/managerial experience and a relatively high net worth can apply for a Canada Immigration visa (for permanent residents) under one of Canada’s business immigration programs.

Self-Employed Persons

The Self-Employed Persons Program seeks to attract applicants who intend and are able to become self-employed in Canada. Self-employed persons pursuant to must have either:

  • relevant experience and the intention as well as the ability to make a significant contribution to the cultural or athletic life of Canada ; or
  • experience in farm management and the intention as well as the ability to purchase and manage a farm in Canada.

Start-Up Visa

Canada’s Start-Up Visa Program is the first of its kind in the world, linking innovative immigrant sought out entrepreneurs with experienced private sector organizations that have expertise in working with start-ups companies that will create jobs in Canada, and eventually, compete globally.
